Ik stuurde Jenny een exemplaar van ‘onze’ 101 woonideeën, omdat haar Carl erin staat, en als dank kreeg ik deze schitterende Carlos! Op Flavourites blogde ik ook over Jenny’s Carls, klik hier om het te lezen.

Ik was al sinds Mus’ geboorte op zoek naar een goed alternatief voor de foto van Wolf die boven de rode speelgoedkast hing. Sponsor Ixxi kwam dus als geroepen! Ixxi is een koppelsysteem van x-jes, i-tjes en kaarten waarmee je zelf een vergroting of collage in elk gewenst formaat kunt maken. Je kunt zelf één of meerdere foto’s of afbeeldingen gebruiken, maar er is ook een beeldenbank waar je bestaande afbeeldingen kunt kiezen. Ik heb wat opgeruimd in huis, dingen verplaatst, dingen weggezet. Nieuw jaar, een frisse start.

Soms doe ik wel eens iets wat tegen mijn eigen ‘interieurregels’ ingaat, voor zover er regels zijn natuurlijk. Ik hou niet van zwart. Echt niet. Zwart breekt al mijn kleuren. Daarom wil ik het zo min mogelijk in mijn huis. Maar ja, toen zag ik de ‘Für Neil’-poster. Hij keek naar me, die maan. Hij wilde in ons huis, fluisterde ‘ie heel zachtjes naar me. Dus waagde ik ‘t erop. Er moest natuurlijk wel kleur bij. En een fles die we vonden bij de kringloop, Wolf en ik, met lentetakken en vlaggetjes.

Ik zag trouwens dat de maan niet alleen naar mij fluisterde, maar ook naar Marlous en Saskia. Hij heeft iets wat ons vrouwen aantrekt, denk ik…

Sometimes breaking your own rules isn’t that bad. Black is definitely not my favorite color, so most of the time I avoid having it in our home. But this moon on the Für Neil-poster kept staring at me, whispering; ‘Anki, I want to live in your home, I belong there.’ So hey, who am I to resist? I had to add color of course, using a thrifted old bottle and some garlands.
